alright boys, this time lets aim to do this really well, so no slacking off.

i have taken an executive decision as the recording engineer that as we aint gonna ever agree on the 3rd song as i wanna do dinosaurs and i guess you three will either wanna do either rich vs zilla or rockets, so lets do neither and just get chunky went to nashville and we are the super xrays done really really well! also as im using new a new system, software and new hardware i wont be as fast as i was before.

other considerations for the weekend are that there 1stly the soundproofing wont be done, and our wood is late so we cant even start finishing the control room - well professional!!! also there is a fucking gig at the venue that friday nite so noise from 6 onwards which is the exact time the guitars would be turning up but anyway so the plan i think should be...

sometime next week either monday, tuesday or thursday we need a pre production session at my house (il have 2 find out when im working) you dont all need to be there on the same nite but i will need all of you at some point before we start on friday due to the fact that neil plays rhythm on we are the super xrays ...

on friday me and jot 9am start, get the drums down, spend all day getting the best sound and performance possible. then EITHER rich and neil turn up and we try do mik'd up guitar amps in to the night (thru the venue noise) OR everyone go home after drums finished (neil doesnt need to bother coming) then start early saturday morning back in the studio and mic up the guitar amps (if we havnt already done that) but get out of there before 7pm when arcade jam. we may have enough time on saturday to try some vocal takes but we'll have 2 start packing up bout half 5pm and vocals are usually best in the morning (i.e. sunday at my house)

anyway the individual checklist so far

rich: restring guitar before next jam (unless you wanna use mine for recording), get definite lyrics written

neil: restring guitar before next jam, bring some picks, maybe bring micro korg if you want?

jot: i know you dont want to - but you gotta cut a mic hole in that bass drum skin

ed: iv got loads of stuff to do, already restrung bass, reinstall new system and software on the mac, work out how to use the digital mixer in my new interface (i.e. for headphone mixes), pre production sessions for both songs using new software im not used to, sorting out my new insurance, then arranging getting all my stuff down the studio etc. so its not gonna be easy but it will be worth it if it sounds better than last demo

As for this Saturday I'm not 100% certain either way, I was down to work but arranged someone to cover but now they're off ill. I think he'll try and make it in for saturday as I'm covering him for when he goes to watch Chelsea (yes he is a Chelsea joker) the saturday after. Should know for certain in next few days.

Should be a laugh with the whole Beat Kerfew thing, maybe it would be cool to record a tune every couple of years then dispear again till next time.

What are you doing for Christmas, I was thinking of having a Boxing Day NFL session (I have Sky Sports now) so A bit of madden followed by the live Game and of course lots of Brewski's. Then I'm of to Austria for the new year with Kezza.

was just hassling you cos of the boys nite (though you were trying to swerve it) would be cool if you can come but everyone was waiting to see if anyone else was gonan go before they said yes so as so few boys actually confirmed not many people are now coming. decide on wednesday, would be cool if it only ended up being beat kerfew boys that came down, could do some preproduction for the xmas song thinking about it!

yeh the BK thing will be really cool to get this one song done, the recordings gonna take place next saturday 3rd december on johns farm & il have the finished production the week after - with enough time for bluey to sort the artwork & website (which is back up now www.beatkerfew.co.uk ) for a xmas eve release (to friends etc.), lets hope you guys can remember the song im gonna make it sound the nuts

real annoyed cos my job still isnt happening, am getting messed around by the record label & am now pretty skint with xmas coming up. theyve decided to shut the studio & are still deciding if they will finance a new better one so i wont know if my job exists until they make their minds up & it looks as though il have to wait til the new year at least now before anything happens.

yeh am around at xmas, was just asking kerry actually if you guys were in braintree xmas eve or wanna meet up 4 a drink but if yr having a NFL boxing nite that'll be superquality as well (must blag john to drive)

for new years, i think there is a few people hoping you'll have another party - wont they be disappointed
