not a biography, more like the story so far... « Reply #1 on: December 26th, 2003, 10:07am »
in around april 2001, during a moment of clarity - within a heavily intoxicated noize recording spree, fuelled up on loss, confusion and rage - the lust for destruction and need to fight were distorted by the desire to create!
i decided to write & record unstructured musical noize in an attempt to create something original & beautiful...
...this project was the start of crash arcade
So, with guitar, mic, sampler, synth and Mac G4 running Pro Tools & Logic, crash arcade started recording demos in May 2001 @ Psychoacoustiks studio, 77 Coleridge Road, Cambridge.
with work still in progress, Rob dAnn recorded some bass lines for the crash arcade demos in jan & march 2002.
sTu cAlder helped record some drum tracks on some less diverse crash arcade material in about april 2002
in June 2002 ed dAnn moved back to gT Notley from cambridge & continued production with the crash arcade project
in about feb 2003 crash arcade left the studio & started to jam @ soundtrax studios in Witham. with sTu cAlder on drums & John hArvey on guitar providing a more structured artistic input to the now abused crash sound. both now full members of the band
Rob dAnn returned to jam his bass with crash arcade in about may 2003, until leaving again in september 03 when moving back to Mile End, London
Jot fUller joined crash to play bass in november 2003...
crash arcade is still pretty much a secret project but 2004 may be the year
